This old flame still burns hot….

Fallon Gentry is back in her hometown after leaving an affluent life in Dallas, and her cheating ex-husband, behind. She's ready to start over, even if that means dealing with the pain of her first love's betrayal left buried in the past.

Lucas Chance is a working class guy leading a simple life. He plays the part of the town ladies' man but deep down he's still reeling from old wounds, namely a heart shattered when the only woman he ever loved walked away.

They're both shocked when Fallon unknowingly shows up on Lucas's duplex door step, looking to rent the unit next door. Lucas is too intrigued to tell her no and Fallon is too desperate for a place to live. There's also the blazing attraction still between them. Now as landlord and tenant, Fallon and Lucas battle their feelings.

Will they discover the truth behind what drove them apart and take their only chance at true love?

An Interview with Trish Arcangelo

Welcome to JB’s Bookworms with Brandy Mulder. Tell us about your newest book.
Only Chance is the second book in my Chisholm Falls series, which focuses around characters in a small Texas town. It’s the story of Lucas Chance, who appeared in book 1 (Hard Miles) as the very handsome owner of The Junction Saloon. This ladies’ man hides a heart broken by his first love who has just arrived back in town after seven long years….

What was your most difficult scene to write?
In Only Chance, the scene(s) where we discover what drove Lucas and Fallon apart were not fun.

What are you working on now?
I’m currently working on Fast Lane, book 3 of the Chisholm Falls series. Devlin Lane finally gets his story and, trust me, he will make you swoon!

Who is your favorite character from your own stories, and why?
I love all of them but Corbin from Breakout might be my favorite so far. I wrote that book in only the heroine’s POV so Corbin’s innermost thoughts and feelings remained somewhat mysterious, we only know what he voiced. He holds a certain allure for a romance reader like me….

Most writers were readers as children. What was your favorite book in grade school?
My favorite book as a kid was Starring Sally J. Freedman as Herself by Judy Blume. I also loved the Ramona Quimby books by Beverly Cleary.

What are your plans for future projects?
I think I will continue writing in my Chisholm Falls series, I have at least two other stories in mind after Fast Lane.

Good luck with your newest release, and thank you for being with us today. Thank you for having me!!
