Love in LA just got a whole lot hotter!

One woman. Three men. Some things are best kept secret.

“Hands down the best reverse harem I’ve ever read!” Goodreads Reviewer M. Simmons

When Creslyn Knight auditions for the role of a life time, she never expects three things:
1. To know the casting director—intimately.
2. To be insanely attracted to the three stand-in actors at the audition.
3. That she’d soon be putting her morals to the test when her resolve weakens.

Acting is in Creslyn’s blood, and she’s focused her sights on one thing: landing the role of a lifetime. But she’s always been told that everything comes at a cost. The casting director names his when he tells her she must make him believe she can surrender to a harem of men, or he can’t justify giving her the lead role.

Determined to prove him wrong and show him she can tap into a passion that deep, Creslyn throws herself into rehearsals. But the fine line between script and reality soon starts to blur, leading her and three men into unchartered territory. The only problem? She has a jealous roommate, a disgruntled mother, and a string of paparazzi hot on her trail, making Creslyn question the cost of everything.

In a world where some things are best kept secret, is the price of fame too high when it comes to the heart?

The Stars in Her Eyes is book one of the Love in LA Quartet and is a new adult, steamy contemporary romance reverse harem LOVE STORY that can be read as a stand-alone or as an introduction to the series. All the heat you’ve come to expect with a reverse harem, AND a storyline worthy of a contemporary romance love story. Finally, the best of both worlds!

Secrets

Thank you so much for letting me guest post on your blog today! I thought I’d write a little about secrets, since my new book, The Stars in Her Eyes (and the entire Love in LA Quartet that it’s in), is based on the concept that beneath every Hollywood dream lies a secret. I was fascinated by this from the start with Creslyn Knight, the female main character, because she was about to do something very naughty, and in Hollywood, that’s complete fodder for the press. But I loved the dynamic between lines blurring with her fellow actors, the knowledge that this had to be kept a secret, but the undeniable attraction that made them all take such a huge risk to begin with.

In real life, I am so open and transparent. The only secrets I keep are the ones that friends tell me, or when it’s not really a secret but a fun surprise that I don’t want to spoil! I do think there is a danger in keeping secrets, because sooner or later, especially in this day and age, nothing stays a secret for very long. How many times has something come to light and we’re like, “Wow! You never know what goes on behind closed doors!” This is certainly the case with the dangerous secret Creslyn and her guys are keeping. It’s fun for the reader, though. There’s something seductive about knowing secrets in a book before the other characters do, and to get a front line seat to watch it all unfold—or implodes as the case may be.

I truly believe that secrets can eat at your heart, “poison the container” as they say, and prevent authentic connections since honesty and trust are some of the most important factors in lasting, meaningful relationships. So usually, my characters don’t harbor too many big, dark secrets. But the whole allure of Hollywood, and what the characters might do to protect themselves, get ahead, reach their dreams, or find love fascinated and challenged me. But just because they’re in Hollywood and are fictional, it doesn’t give my characters a free pass to live untruthfully, under the dark cloud of their sinfully delicious and naughty secret(s) for too long.

The other truth is that there are always consequences when secrets come to light, as Creslyn finds out firsthand in TSIHE. But her taboo relationships aren’t the only secrets that are uncovered; as layers of secrets from the characters’ pasts are peeled back, they end up being real growth and healing opportunities for them. For me, that’s what makes stories so great: Triumph. Hope. Overcoming our mistakes. Finding love and happiness despite our shortcomings. Redemption.

Hopefully my readers will find some of this in TSIHE and the rest of the Love in LA Quartet when it’s published this year. Because there are a LOT more delicious secrets coming up in book two . . . Just sayin’.

Thanks so much for having me today! I’d love to hear from your readers any lessons they’ve learned from keeping juicy secrets in the past. ;) Mwah!

I would too. Thanks for being with us.
